Camera Movement:
- Shots: Different types of shots, close up, mid shots, long shots establishing shots, over the shoulder shots. Each of these give a different effect towards the audience, meaning that it is vital that the shots you use is the right shot for that moment of the music video.
- Angles: Each angle also has a great impact towards the audience, high angle, low angle, reverse angle.
- Both shot and Angle, need to be analysed and shown where they need to be. For example: close up, this is used to show expressions in this case my artist. However establishing shot this is to set the scene of where my music video will be taking place. Angles, with a high angle is to represent a sense of power however a low angle is to express the low sense of status.
- Within my music video I am planing to do a variety of shots this is to make sure that my audience create a connection with the actors within my music video as well as the artist. But to also create a sense of atmosphere.
Editing:
- Cuts: cuts are made to change the order of your footage, this can have a great deal of effect towards your audience for example if your using a fast beat song, then your cuts should usually keep in time with the song and do cuts per each best keeping it fast pace otherwise this can have a bad impact towards your music video.
- Transitions: transitions are they way you change from cut to cut, you can use wipes and fades. This gives the effect of the type of music video you are trying to portray. For example within my music video I am trying to portray a emotional link between the audience and actors within the music video therefore my transition will be slow. However I will vary my speed of tranisitons to keep up with the tempo of the song.
